Hasta Luego Salt Lake City!

Voy a vivir en una país extranjera por cinco semanas. I will be away from family, friends and my fiancé. I would be lying if I said that I’ve never been so nervous and excited in my entire life! It’s hard for me to have any expectations for Spain at all because it seems like such a surreal idea to me that I’m actually going to be living in such an amazing place. I’m most excited to live with a family there and get to know the people of Oviedo. I’m hoping that this will truly immerse me in the language and culture. I’m nervous that we will have a hard time communicating with each other, which I’m sure will be the case, but it will make for great stories and a great adventure. I feel like I will catch on to speaking the language pretty fast and hope to come home much more confident in speaking Spanish. I cannot wait to see the sites that this country has to offer and look forward to the beautiful towns, beaches and mountains that we will be exploring. I’m most nervous about actually getting to Oviedo, so once that is out of the way I’ll be feeling pretty good! I hope to gain a greater appreciation for the Spanish culture and language and expect that I this will be the greatest adventure of my life thus far!
